Mysterious Canadian Responsible for Skwint's Explosive Sales Growth

Seemingly before Skwint was even available in the U.S. App Store a mysterious Canadian ponied up a Loonie and became the first buyer of the app. The purchase led to explosive sales growth for Skwint (see official App Store chart). If anyone knows who this person is please have them contact me. It seems that Giant Plankton is officially adrift in the vast app sea.

Skwint is in the App Store!

Wow, this is so exciting! As of this morning Skwint is now available on the App Store!

We decided to make the first version of Skwint pretty barebones so that we can keep bugs to a minimum and more importantly so that we can focus feedback on the basic gameplay. Any feedback you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

An upcoming version of Skwint will have a key added feature - Themes! The current version comes with a theme called Pulse which has a clean, minimalistic feel. But we have some really, really great ideas for very different themes in the works. I'm talking with some great designers, illustrators and musicians about collaborating to take Skwint to a whole other level. Skwint was originally conceived as much a vehicle for a great audio/visual experiences as it was a game.

And we've temporarily priced Skwint at $.99 in support of Occupy Wall Street!

Spread the word to your friends so that we can get some people downloading the game and giving us feedback. And if you like it please give it a five star rating because one of the best ways for people to find an app is if it ranks near the top in the User Rating charts.

Skwint's In Review!

I just got a text from Apple saying that Skwint is "In Review". So that took less than a week to go from submission to the start of the review. I've heard the actual review process goes pretty quickly for simple apps such as games. I hope the reviewer is in a good mood!

Skwint Has Been Submitted To The App Store!

On Monday we submitted Skwint to the App Store and we're hoping to get a speedy approval from Apple. There's always the chance of getting rejected for a variety of reasons but hopefully we'll get through on the first pass. It's been taking about a week to hear back from Apple lately from what I understand. In any event we're hoping to get it into the App Store before the holidays so that we can sell Skwint to some of the millions of people who are getting an iPad from Santa. It's the perfect game to play with a glass of eggnog.

The Giant Plankton Website is Live!

We plan on adding content to the website about Skwint and GP as we go. We'll need some time to get the kinks worked out and figure out the best structure for the site. In case you're interested we're using SquareSpace and it seems to be a pretty good site design and hosting service. Let us know if you have any questions about it.
